    1      medium        cabbage
    4                    carrots
    2                    red peppers
    2                    green peppers
    2      large         onions
    2      teaspoons     celery seed
    2      teaspoons     salt
    2      cups          white vinegar
    2 1/2  cups          sugar
 
  Chop or grind the cabbage, carrots, peppers and onions.  Add celery seed and s
 alt and soak in cold water for 2 hours.  Drain well.
 
  Mix vinegar and sugar and pour over ingredients.  Store in refrigerator and us
 e as needed.  Recipe is 50 years old.  The longer it sets, the better it gets.
