3 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion
40 ounces tomato sauce
1 large bell pepper -- diced
1 tablespoon corn meal -- (1 to 2)
salt and pepper
tabasco sauce
2 tablespoons chili powder
water
Brown meat; add onion and saute well. Add tomato sauce, seasonings, bell
pepper
, and chili powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Add water until sauce is of
desi
red thickness. Simmer 15-30 minutes. During last 15 minutes of cooking,
sprinkl
e in corn meal and stir.
