   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    4      c             all purpose flour
    3      tsps          ground ginger and cinnamon
      1/2  tsp           ground cloves
    4      tsps.         baking powder
    1      tsp           baking soda and salt
      3/4  c             instant nonfat dry milk
 
 Sift all ingredients together into a large double thick plastic bag.
 Additional ingredients and baking instructions
 1 cake
 1/3 c granulated sugar
 5 Tblsp margarine
 1 egg
 3/4 c molasses
 3/4 c warm water
 Cream sugar and margarine. Beat in egg. Mix the molasses and water and 
 stir into the creamed shortening alternately with 2 C. of Basic Mix: do 
 not overmix. Grease a 9" square baking pan, pour in the batter and bake 
 in preheated 350 F  oven for 45 minutes or till wooden toothpick comes 
 out clean. Serve warm or room temp. with whipped cream or Ice Cream.
